The Simha temperament
Fixed fire under the Sun produces a settled kind of confidence rather than a restless one. A Simha Moon does not need to move constantly; it needs to matter. Recognition is not vanity here so much as fuel — given it, the sign is generous, protective and remarkably steady under pressure; denied it for long enough, the same person goes quiet in a way that is easy to miss and hard to undo.
The instinct is to take responsibility, often more than was asked for. Simha is the rashi that ends up organising the family function, carrying the team, and telling the hard truth in the meeting. The cost is difficulty asking for help, since asking is felt as a demotion rather than as a normal transaction.
Ruled by Sun
The Sun rules Simha, and the Sun is a slow-moving karaka of self, father, authority and health. Its condition in your chart therefore describes the spine of your life more than a single house would. Sunday is your weekday; Saturday, ruled by the Sun's traditional adversary Saturn, tends to be the one that grinds.
No planet is exalted in Simha and none is debilitated there. Classical texts read that as the royal sign hosting each planet as a guest — nothing is enthroned, nothing is humiliated. In practice it means Simha readings depend more than usual on the transit itself and less on standing dignities.
The nakshatras inside Simha
Simha holds Magha in full, Purva Phalguni in full, and the first quarter of Uttara Phalguni. Magha, ruled by Ketu with the Pitris — the ancestors — as its deity, carries lineage: a strong sense of where one comes from, of inherited duty, and often of a debt owed backwards rather than forwards. Purva Phalguni, ruled by Venus with Bhaga as its deity, is the pleasure-bearing quarter — ease, charm, enjoyment of the fruits of work.
The first pada of Uttara Phalguni, ruled by the Sun, adds patronage and contract: the part of Simha that helps other people and formalises the arrangement. Knowing which of these is your birth star explains most of the variation between one Leo and another.
Which days lift Simha, and which test it
The strong days for Simha are those where the transiting Moon reaches a supportive count from your rashi. They are the days to be visible — present the work, make the ask, take the meeting with the person who decides.
When the Moon falls in the fourth, eighth or twelfth from Simha, the day withholds acknowledgement. The classical advice is to lower the target rather than raise the effort, and specifically not to test anyone's loyalty for the pleasure of seeing it proven.
The whole scheme is Chandra Gochara: count from your own rashi to the rashi the Moon is in today, and the count decides the tone. This is the full table for Simha — the star rating above is built from it, adjusted for the paksha and for whether the weekday lord is friendly to Sun.

Simha with other rashis
Simha finds natural warmth with Mesha and Dhanu, and works well with Tula. The Sun-Saturn tension makes Makara and Kumbha harder ground in the general reading. Ashtakoota matching on both birth stars settles it properly; the sign-level version is a starting point, not a verdict.
The kundli matching page scores all eight kootas out of thirty-six from two birth dates, and flags the classical cancellations that a bare score hides.
